Don’t forget to sing and dance and laugh and cry

“Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life” – B. Auerbach

“With the help of the thorn in my foot, I spring higher than anyone with sound feet” – S. Kierkegaard

“I am large. I contain multitudes” – W. Whitman

“Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars.
Tenderness and kindness are not signs of weakness and despair, but manifestations of strength and resolution.
Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.
Solitude is a silent storm that breaks down all our dead branches. Yet it sends our living roots deeper into the living heart of the living earth.”  – K. Gibran

“What’s so funny ‘bout peace, love and understanding.” – N. Lowe

In this period which could possibly be defined as “wartime”, with the absence of public testimonies of art and expression, the ongoing difficulties of daily survival and the upheaval of our world’s political stage, one can only hope that the events that guide our present will lead to a better understanding of how not to allow them to govern our future.

In the meantime, perhaps we can offer each other support and patience, kindness and light, tolerance and temperance.

Our shows are on a hiatus. Obviously. Hopefully for as brief a period as possible. But the music will never stop, rock and roll will never die and “ars gratia artis”.

And don’t forget to sing and dance and laugh and cry. Especially in one’s own “garden of solitude”.

Hope to see you soon, in health and with family in tow.

Meantime… “let’s be careful out there!”
